Bethan is the violinist in the world citizen folk band. We are very blessed to have the conscious academic and straight talker in our fold. We are always obsessed with what we love. It confuses one. It should not. So all our music and art is about bringing commonalities together. Bringing humanity together. Its that sound. The world citizen folk band is also as it happens the happiest of my musical outpourings in a live setting. To bring joy and make you smile. Show you how we all can make a better world. A link to our latest cd of that sound. You can also buy directly from website. https://babarluck.bandcamp.com/album/rastaa

So as a example of what peoples around me do. To carry on about what was talked about by Bethan here is the link to the sonic Rebellions.

Very good to have peoples in my world doing things of this ilk. Incidently Lowkey who is a activist musician also gave a talk those on the outside of mainstream pop culture may recognise him. He spoke Bethan said at length about the Grenfell tragedy and seeking justice for those fallen. Also he quoted James Baldwin which made her smile as James Baldwin is one of my favourite creatives as well. Common knowledge to those that know me. Justice and seeking truth cant be got from within it must be from the outside in. I asked her what it was about and how it went – this is what she said –

“ It was all about sound and social justice – which exactly my passion! Always been interested in as a musician, but the PhD has let me explore in a different way.Talk I did was all about what I’ve learnt about listening through doing listening methods (listening walks) with residents’ in gentrifying neighbourhoods. I was arguing for opening up what listening can mean to people, different ways we listen…thinking about what ‘participatory listening research’ is. Was really lovely bunch of people – lots of musician academics interested in justice issues.” here is another track i love from our latest world citizen folk band . https://babarluck.bandcamp.com/track/cities-that-never-sleep

Also in our world citizen folk band we have who i call “cuzz” his name is keith he plays cahoun in that unit. Pictured above back to back. If i call you cuzz it means I see you as fam. If I say cuzz you can say uncle. It is how we move. It is ok if you wish to call me by some other title as wel. It is our cultural expression. Cuzz Keith organised a session to play at the Fudge Patch some tunes. It is the second picture in this slog/blog. They at the Fudghe patch in Greenwich London uk specialise in making Fudghe. Due to the Fudghe Patch being open minded they were open to us playing some music that is all about love compassion forgiveness and happy times. To make better world for all the children. Unity through diversity. A place for all to sing in harmony.

The above picture is me God child holding the baby of a fearless kinspirit. From the other night a show that was very special. Check our last slog/blog . I was told by those that dont know me that in “our religion we dont have Godchildren” I told them I am on the certificate of that paperwork that i signed in the church where she was was baptised. I dont follow any faith but the faith of LOVE for all humanity. Dance in group or dance alone. Even if we are just dancing in the dark. In a way all conscious voices are a scream in the dark against injustice for those who have no voice.

Footnote. Pictured above one of me dear friends and a musician Mark “the hook” Meller . He is not in and out but always in my world. He is playing guitar on a album called “Song’s for our children” it will be completed when it is completed. It will be done when it is done. Soon come. He has not been pictured in me slog/blog i think for a while. That is decent picture. I took it. A footnote. please chk all of our vast library of work. THERE is rock/punk/folk/funk/country/solo/with band all made with 100% LOVE https://babarluck.bandcamp.com/
we also love to make some MORE live shows so tell your friends and your local venues. We want some LUCK. More importantly concentrate with what’s under your feet and in you close vicinity. Act locally think globally. Silence is golden. Make love more. That’s also something one can do in the dark or scream or combine the two or more then two whatever you fancy….till next time
