Yes our new album “Light up the night” has arrived. This is a musical union of three. That sci-fi folk sound.
It was recorded last year around Feb by Marc Bell at TMR records London uk. It was recorded over two days.
Bethan the violinist played on the third album Rastaa. “Light up the night” is our fourth World citizen folk band album.

NEWSLETTER WE HAVE A NEWS LETTER PLEASE JOIN OUR MAILING LIST on the front page of the website. Also thanks to mr.R in the valleys for his wonderful artwork on Rastaa and this latest release. Many hands make cake.
It was important to make a album which allowed Bethan to play the songs in a relaxed environment. Without distractions apart from my constant chatter ego and ridiculous conversations. We have a genuine respect for each other that is life based politically based and there is empathy. Bethan is aware of how stupid and arrogant I can be as a personality.

Again letting music be the controller and allowing music to become greater then our own ego and desires. She was discovered by me playing with the amazing Brighton legends Pog. Do genuinely love Pog musical output. She is on loan from that band.https://pogband.bandcamp.com/
We have done several shows in a wide variety of settings and this has also allowed us to be more confident with how we interpret the songs.
The objective being is to give the listener a experience never before. A way of making folk music transcend its category . Babar Luck`s world citizen folk band are not your average folk band or even close to that. But we are a folk band. London folk music. World citizen folk music. Universal folk music.

Marc Bell who recorded and mixed the album is man of experience having worked in music for forty years . vast creative outputs from Slade to Michael Rosenzweig To Nepalese metal bands to Kawaalee singers of the highest stature.
We also have been making other musical projects. Also getting to know each other. There is genuine mutual respect and we also have fun. Something that is crucial. He does do the hard work.
How did we meet? Through our percussionist Keith he found me about four years ago. Then the covid 19 came.

We found safe place to rest during those tumultuous times n weekly make some music purely a gift in my life. Keith and I have done couple of albums yet to be released. This is our first album together. It is almost a romantic liaison.

The picture below was taken by Marc Bell. It kinda captures the spirit and discipline we have also as you hear on the album genuine telepathy.

The album launch is in Brighton chk poster below. Do come along. The album will be available via website and also like all me music a easy to find platform https://babarluck.bandcamp.com/music

We are looking for more shows of course for all our musical units. There is also a booking form on the website. Don`t hesitate to DM me on me internet shenanigans or simply email.
More importantly try and not follow what leaders and authorities dictate blindly. Our “sesame street politics” are simple truths.
Live love be loved be brave. War is not good. We can make a better world for all the children not just the select few. Some men do look better with a beard. Till next time …..
