We had a new album released on Dec 1st 2023. Called chronicles of John Brute part two aka Babar Luck. Whilst we soak in the sun lets talk about that album once more. The album as I stated many times “Has a happy ending”. As endings go. There is also a concept of do we bark at every dog that barks at us whilst trying to complete our journey? Do we accept madness as the common ground and go mad? Do we Love 100%? Do we forgive 100%? Do we distant ourselves and wish them well? That is a way to do it. That’s the way to do it. There will always be argument and those that do that will always do that. John brute part 2 has a happy ending. And that character deserves that as do me aunties and uncles past and gone.

Me dearest friend and fellow seeker of good times and easy vibes sent me that photo above. Saying, “it does look beautiful?” It does look beautiful. It is so beautiful. Many made that for that purpose. Large part of me life is spent there and those big cities I do love them all. London is home in a sense. Depends if we are allowed to stay here. As a migrant, paper work, can mean NOTHING and loyalty to a land and its peoples can also mean NOTHING . As those west Indian elders(Windrush) in the UK found out. All over the world this happens. That song is one of me old “bangers” I thought i would always play that song. I dont play that song any more. This was pointed out to me and I said “that’s not a bad song “. The new is replaced by the old. As a creative I tend to move forward. Often at breakneck speed.To quote me uncles “going up building sites 5 in the morning is hard work sitting in your cozy room writing poetry sipping tea and formulating 10 songs over a YEAR is not HARD work.” Looking back at them and looking back at me. They do have a point. What I do is easy. A easy life.

Meow!!! What a sweet cat . A truly loved animal. Appropriately named Mi Mi. Funny I know two cat owners with the same name for their cat. It suites the owners and the cats. Dare I say. said it. Oh how I laughed. I have me fave songs. I will end this slog/blog soaking up more of that sun. I will also talk about why I like the next song it is cheeky in a “carry on way” the “carry on” films have have been negated by some to be “not kool” what can I say? Young readers wont know what I am talking about. Probably best that way.

Ok to describe it is a cheeky (tongue firmly in cheek or possibly some other place…) about lust about desire about passion. In a fun packed two minute punk pop song.

To discuss our latest musical homage to the aunties and uncles that raised me in the wonderful metropolis that is London. That is why we have Babar Luck aka John Brute. The shezaas and Geezaas that made me. Bowie had Ziggy Stardust I have john Brute. We discuss a song that hits that nail on the head in a abstract honest way. Also the song we shall discuss is so appropriate as for me it is closest to a Gospel a kawaalee a hymn a chant “there is a place in the choir for all the children.” (hmmm…sometimes)

I try and not talk of these topics. One track on this album. Just one track. Jah Shiva the gods and goddesses guide my hand. As I walk through the valley of death as many are every day since the beginning of time ….u know that one?

They dont live that lifestyle is a song where we take on 3 diff voices. Three diff backgrounds and cultures.

That three characters are of non faith and almost take pride in their secular ways attitudes and ideas. The chorus is someone of faith gently chastising them and telling to be in essence grateful.

Above is a great band bashing it out. In every city there are one or two very good bands. In a society so contradictory and savage we have characters like the man above. He does try and save as many animals as he can. Above is a seagull that could not fly. That man above is possibly following the Buddhist principles. As we say some live it and some just talk it.

My dietary needs and requirements strangely peoples tend to make their opinions about one without knowing one.

…..No matter how cruel or wicked those men were they do try we hope…In 99% The trying ballet continues. Imagine those Brutes in tutu’s practising their Ballet moves. There is always redemption. Don’t loose your humour. Humour is what makes us human. Acceptance and some sense of peace is achievable. In that song the Brute gets holy (of course the last refuge of the scoundrel) he says “Burn in hell” for his sins and serve a Eternity in Hell. How long is a Eternity? Those that study faith will know that the Devine can pull one out of eternity if one is sincere in ones sense of apology to those they abandoned, or were cruel to or simply not good enough. The change of behaviour and the apology and the commitment to being a better person has to be done in this life. So regardless of the mumbo jumbo religious bollocks one must change behaviour for the better. As a wise women said ” A apology is changed behaviour”.

Those bourgeois humans of all backgrounds shades and faiths speak a rhetoric yet in action are complicit to where we are at. To be fair they dont even speak peacefully or lovingly. Those Love warriors and those that speak peace have been silenced.

“I can hear the screams of the innocent through your one minute silence”.

We are not fazed we study history and we know we shall overcome. There is healing. Change towards good is slow. A tool we have is music. Evil also has music. But we have TRUTH. We have facts. Truth is Our shield . WE Use LOVE. Allow LOVE. Be each others light in the dark. To make a better world for ALL the children. Love is the way.

Above a happy customer. And the name of that musical unit we do is East End Trinity. Being naive many years ago I did not think it would cause disturbance to main intelligentsia. For us and that band it was unity and love and a brotherhood. That’s all. It also seems those that are so called “secular” are very aware of what that implies. To us it is about Rock and Roll and good times. Also speaking about Love unity and battling /fighting fascism. We dont fight fascist because we are going to win we fight fascist because they are fascists. As a lioness quoted to me about her father who was asked to go on a fascist rally back in the day when race was not so defined and the chap said ” I am Indian I cant go”. Those that loved him and cared for him were surprised. They did not see his skin. They were not aware. They were so caught up in violence. They were so used to hate. To not being loved. Life is stranger then fiction and fiction is dull compared to life.

John Brute the new album was out Dec 1st 2023 A crucial piece of musical art for me. As it is a homage to the aunties and uncles that raised me they were not me blood. Sometimes blood is thicker then water sometimes blood is thinner then water. The love songs are many on both of the albums. In fact after the first track which is about getting out of prison and trying to be reformed character. Then John is pursuing a Partner . There is in the first outing of John brute part 1 a song called Make them cry which is a solo acoustic album. Of course have to mention Jim Riley in Ranscombe studios Rochester Uk who recorded that it sounds lush partly coz he made me feel welcome and respected and it was recorded real tape the youngsters reading this would not know But…it is a way of recording that makes thing sound more human. It give things more warmth.

“crying anonymous a place where Real men discuss their woes”. I recall a “uncle” telling me “U can cry in front of me but never cry in front of women they will think you are weak”. Or a brilliant line from a top uk rapp artist Giggs when he says in a song called Time “coz I dont cry dont mean I dont have feelings”. Some point about masculinity and also the kind of women in that paradigm in that environment in that construct that still exists today.

Awoken is the third track and true Ballad as those reading may think he said “he said Ballad” Well this one having played this song for many years and having had real response for that song. It is the third track Awoken it is about changed behaviour. It is about each making the other a better person. It is about trust. It is about seeking that equal partner. Not the same but equal in respect and understanding which is the path of true love.

The song talks about drug abuse and why it clouds our judgements as also the lifestyle we choose to nurture those habits. It may cause upset but those who love you love you for you not the drug you may be surrounded with or the peoples that supply the drug. As a street Imam as a Yogi as a elder I have seen the transformation many times to the good and as a youngster there were many success stories of when one is truly awoken and loved. JJ does some wonderful singing on that song and guitar. We do do that song as kinspirit live that is a life long thing. As and when we can we shall.

Cold Heart is the 4th track of Chronicles of John Brute part 2 and one of the reasons it is aka Babar Luck. The main protagonists in that song are professional criminals and their lives are controlled by extremes. The lyric “I put down that gun life I will not kill again”, deals directly with three actual Gun men I met in my life one of them shared this story. One of them is still away from that world and found his life partner. Also the female perspective of women and how he says “you say your ex man next man all the same you really feel that love is sorrow and pain, you look into my eyes you say we got to leave this game our chosen lifestyle the anger the shame”.

Then that song gets funky i have to say. We really did have some fun putting those songs down. I am really touched by those who took extra time and extra effort to be there for us.

One can download those tracks via pay-pal. One can go to our website and purchase items. As we dont do what others do. We dont hang out. We dont seek validation from those doing better financially. We dont send our albums to be reviewed or get on those lists. It is our way. When we do ask or are prodded to by well meaning associates and friends the result is usually a NO. That’s Ok.
