John Brute in the USA. The Brute is everywhere. As are those that are the underclass. They dont vote they dont call the police. They disdain and dont trust the ruling elite. They work with collaborate with all humanity. They Love money power and most importantly CONTROL. John Brute is a fictional character based on those who I idolised whilst young.
The anti – heroe is trying to get out of the tangled web of deceit woven by those in power and those who he deals with. Even those who he loves are kept a eye on as trust is simply not there. Life is all about trust.

In Dec 2023 we released the second part which is a full band sound. The music of the Brute is soulful and often gentle as that’s the kind of music those who raised me liked. They liked to dance they liked soul funk country music. I recall when alone those Brutes would be crying over sentimental songs. Whilst in public they never cried.
In the second episode of John Brute aka Babar Luck the character is seeking salvation. He is still seeking. His loved ones hold him to account. The second part of this story there is a happy ending. Do discover and research yourself the first part which is a solo acoustic affair.
Babar luck the artist. well, the Borgs who consult and mr R in the valleys who look after me realise I have a penchant for being who I am.
Of course as those Brutes who raised me some of their children go to private schools and dont even need to work.

John Brute aka Babar Luck is our latest full band album in 2024. We continue to talk about that and much else in this slog blog. Firstly all a artistic person can do is do the creativity and the art. Most real artists simply do it. Usually a Labour of love the enjoyment process is crucial to their existence. All creatives can do is raise awareness of things they care about and that effect them. This is 100% why we HAD to make John Brute as we can take on subject matters and express how John Brute and those of its ilk work. It is a John Brute world. Look inside and outside with a open heart and one can see all. Bitts of brute.

The creative process has been documented and the little bits of video we have on our youtube channel shows the timeline . But sometimes we work on song for ten years that process is on going. Once we record what it is it tends to stay the same. When we do those song in live format it works differently but structures are much the same. John brute is not a live project those songs sometimes I cant resist singing solo.
The complete version of that song above was the first song I felt had to be on a platform so everybody can have a listen for free. Discipline is at the heart of what John Brute is. We are totally aware of how we are a niche within a niche I personally have not sought fame or tried to be anything but myself. I am out “There” I do not follow I try and lead. The lyrics of that song describe the aunties and uncles that first verse is a “uncle” telling the protagonist to be more disciplined. I have credited and written the lyrics to that song chk that.

Below is one of our fave songs from the album that we funked and freaked it out when we recorded it with the full band. Below is live version from four years ago. That song is about John Brute finding a fellow minded person who can help him escape that “lifestyle” as stated many times we all have choices and that special one can help us towards another existence.
And also I am committed to expressing myself as many are. That’s nothing new. I am also surrounded by creatives and peoples doing stuff. Wayne Cambell has this going on. A friend introduced me to his works. It is a moment in time. All the time.
The character above is a good listener. They remind us of how simple life can be. The appropriate amount of love and right kind of balance can fix most things. Those who know me will know the innocence in me remains I wish all humanity to get on and sort out their differences. To be peaceful and loving and enjoying life is what we desire. John Brute is our latest album. The character John Brute is a fictional character. The latest album is part 2. It is a sequel. We have been covering what made the album? Why we made the album and why it is so important to me ? Most importantly it is a homage to those who I loved and idolised whilst young.
We are aware poor people who through much sacrifice and pain rise above the standard are often not celebrated. The ruling elite exist in all shapes and forms.
All societies are based on a pecking order. Privilege. All societies shift and change sometimes quickly but most of the time very slowly. Especially if one is poor in the society.
How and why does one have loyalties and to who and what. John Brute from a child has been told “There are no rules make your own rules.”
John Brute’s characteristics are based on several men and women who I admired whilst young . “Sheezas” and “Geezas”. That term is for those who control and make things happen. They are empowered by a desire to make empires to emulate those ruling elites. This is a universal theme. The King of his castle the Queen of her domain.
It is a John Brute world. The desire to have more control. More money more respect is crucial. That type of character is replicated by the tyrants and leaders of this world. That mind set can be used to do good as some do do that. It all depends on who you are? Where you are? What you are ?
John Brute is always happy to make money at a hi profit margin he is a vigilante he only has loyalty to a very small circle who he trusts. That circle decreases and as he was told it is ok, “circle of one is fine”.
Chess moves. The character John Brute has done three terms in prison. Incarceration. Like the prison business that yields vast amount of money for all governments. John Brute is ashamed of his failings and each time he comes out he learns more about himself. He also learns to be better. To make things correct.
Love can save you. It can come in many shapes or forms. It can be a partner. It can be legal honest work. It can be a faith.
The above picture captures something. Me friend said , ” I believe in Unicorns and rainbow worlds.” If it ticks your box then it ticks your box your contentment your serenity your well being. It could be a worthy cause. It can be simply loving oneself.
